Mr Blue and and revisiting unfinished models

Well, whats happened in a week? I finished off and older daemon prince, Mr. Green. Skarbrand is almost 100%, and i created another Slaanesh prince, Mr. Blue. Mr Blue is a combination of a old plastic model from a kids toy, Left damon prince arm, Tyranid Hive Tyrant magnatized wings, A tyranid mawloc headpiece for shoulder pads, and a viking helmet from an old toy, plus two tyranid sything arms coming from his back. There is something so fun about creating things that dont exist in the 40k world stright from your imagination. He has sat a while (approx 6 months), until last night i got struck with the creativity bug. Also in rotation is 10 daemonettes. I chose regular fleshtones to represent this first squad of 20. Canadian flesh, bestor flesh followed by a nice elf flesh with a reikand flesh shade glaze. the hair is a nice wet blend of khone red to mestiphon with wildrider red hillights followed with a bloodletter glaze. They are about 40% finished. I decided with them to make my own bases as opposed to using aftermarket resin bases. There are numerous necron trpohies scattered among their bases.



Whats next is a change to space wolves for a bud of mine. They got a quick 2 hour paintjob in Indy and i promised i would give them the "super service treatment." I will probably finish at least the 10 man tac squad to night with the rune priest and the JuJu stick. I was given free range to paint and base them as well. Following that i will knock out a 5 man wolf terminator squad for him. Pics to be posted soon. After seeing Doug's airbrush i think i will pic up one in May and begin the next evolution.

In May i will begin taking small comissions for characters or conversion work. I will probably be finished with my 4k of deamons by then. In the mean time check out www.spikeybits.com and look at the mintiaire airbush paintline. IT looks awsome and will be a purchase in May as well.
