Indy 2013 and musings from the mind of J
Well, its been a month or two since i have made any significant posts. So what the hell have i been doing. In October i began getting a CSM (Nurgle) force together for the Spring. I picked up some units here, some forgeworld there, some khone here, some slaanesh there. But i would say about 80% of my force is Nurgle. I am clocking in at about 6700 points of CSM goodness. I also started a small warband on Nurgle Daemons to ally with, another 2,000 points worth. I guess i got a lottle surprise lately with the C:Daemons comng out so im not sure which will be the mian and which will be the Battle Brother for the spring league.
So Indy. Ryan got me so worked up for this i had to settle on a list. This made my painting become a fulltime job as each week i played i tweaked the list, which resulted in additional painting of units not quite ready. I think everyone is excited. I know i have only played in two small tourney's with a record of 2-3-1, but the GT might be a little more to break off than i can chew. So i have decided on a slow play list with some fast elements to cause havoc.
So my final list consists of
Abbadon
Typhus
25 zombies
25 zombies
20 zombies
10 zombies
1 heldrake
5 nurgle marked spawn
3 khone marked spawn
3 nurgle marked oblits
2 nurgle marked oblit and an aegis line.
Finally i leave you with a few pics. My paiting continues to get better and evolve. I can now say i have my own style of painting that is not a copy paste from the nets. enjoy..

Band Wagon
Ok I know alot of us are jumping from one wagon to another. Myself included. I have tried to stay the path of the greater good, but in all honesty, I would like a change from the formational gun wall. Granted the gun wall works great for turn 1 & 2 pending night fighting rules, but change is good. I know a few of us have become heretics, and a few of us are now glaring down the path of the rightousness with the new DA codex. (I so could see me finally building my DA successor chapter now with the new awesome looking models), but in all things serious. I have been slowly working on a good vs. evil type campaign setting. Where lets say there is 4 people for the good side, and 4 people for the evil side. All missions would be attacker defender type. Taken from numerous books (and with some clarification) effective in 6th edition. So if week one the evil side is the attacker (i mean the evil side always wants what they dont have), so how the games would work is. We have a set number of point values for the mission (like our league 10, 7, 4) and out of the four people, 3 have to play from each side. So someone could always take a "by" week. Now rules to this is, you cannot have a by week for 2 games in a row (pending real life issues of course). And the sum of all points between the "active or played" games will determine the Winner of that game set. I have already looked and am working on 6 (using my brothers planet strike tiles) different "mini" campaigns for the large one. that being said each mini campaign would comprise of 4 battles each. (making this a year long war for control of the planet.) I just want to put this out there and see the interest feed I get back. Weather your in or out, or have some ideas (all will be looked at). the campaign will continue even if it is Just Jackie and I.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Rocking in the new year 2013 yeah!!
unfortuantely i did not take as many pictures as i thought. My wife had to work and i took 10 days off work. I logged about 30-40 hours of painting and modeling. the longest session straight was about 6 hours before a break all in all this was accomplished.

1 small khorne deamon painted and based
1 skin wolf spawn completed
2 new FW heresy rhinos put together (thanks Chris) and one painted the other primed
35 plague marines assembled kit bashed (with deathgaurd shoulder pads) and 50% painted the other 50% primed and first colors of stripy white/green applied.

More and more Chaos Badness
I am most excited about my WIP Landraider, as it will be so unique, the only thing others can do is copy it. This was from a random thought in my head, there was no pictures of anything else like ther that anyone has done. When its complete post Christmas, i hop you like it. There are a few teaser picturs of some WIP on it. Also included is a new bridge i build, a 4 armed nurgle deamon prince and my new Typus model my wife gave me as an early Christmas present.
