Jonsey Update

Well, im not dead, just getting ready to begin work on the display board for NOVA and finish up my units. I been playing a little catch up on some side projects and the allegies have been giving me migraines, which makes it hard to paint/create. I should have a great and large update sometimes next week.

Until then, the thought/tip for the day -

Water you paints down till they are almost transparent. You will save $$ on paint and your results will astound you. Yes it takes about 5-6 coats of paint for it to work, but utilize a fan blowing on your hobby space to speed it up.

Blood Angels? Flesh Tearers? Hmmm

Been some time since My Blood Angels seen some paint time. So messing around with some new things painting wise, and this is what I came up with. Not quite Blood Angels, and not Flesh Tearers anymore. the new bright red/orange fade has made me develop some fluff for my new chapter. More will be unveiled once I finish some other units for my tourny army. They are a break away chapter from the Flesh Tearers. And hopefully i can get some painting time this week to finish the assault unit that is poised to the right.

Game 4: "Dark Side of the Moon"

Arden's Deployment of the Walking dead.

Great Game thanks to Arden B.!!! Game ended after 7 FULL turns!!!! Mission was the Relic, with Hammer and Anvil Deployment, MIssion Modifier was Eclipse which FORCES Night Fighting on turns 3 & 4. Primary Objective was Relic worth 7 pts to the General who captured it. Secondary was First Blood worth 4 pts. and Tertiary was Hold the Line worth 4 pts to the person who had the most scoring units in his deployment zone. I won the roll and chose to go second (as I had no Air units, and wanted the last player turn for this mission. which proved pivotal)

Custom 1 of 5 Plague Smail and Skittle Horror Update

Got a comission to make 5 unique eye catching spawn for a tourny player. He wanted a custome build. I had been kicking around the idea of a scratch snail build for a while. When i dropped playing CSM for CD in January, i decided to shelf the idea until this request came. I little green stuff, a bout a 3 color blend with a little ink, and some hot glue acid drool and i came with this. Each one will be quite unique, check back each week to see an update.

Also i am still belnding on my skittle horrors as i been calling them. I think you will agree they are getting closer to a really nice blend when you comapir these to the last post. If you seen them in person post up and give me feedback.

I am also kicking around an idea to create a series of cosutom deamon princes based on the 7 deadly sins. They will be composed of a little GW kit bashing and alot of SuperScupltey and Green stuff. As i finish them they will probably be on sale here for a while before shipping them off to the bay. Check the other post for a teaser. Post up and see if you can figure out what my first build is....

Well i did not get my game in like anticipated on Sunday, so i spent most of the day doing yard work and cathcing up on projects.

Tourn: Update Nova Open GT.

Been telling the group for a long time I will atend tournies this year. Its May have hit a whole "ZERO" so far. Was sent some infor yesterday about the Virginia based NOVA OPEN GT in late august. (begins 29th of August). I began talking to the Girlfriend, and looking at funds and what we need to get fixed on cars (funny no warhammer notes yet right) who to watch the kids hotel costs, rent a car? fix ours? it came down to she wants to go. So once we talk about it some more this weekend, I will most likely buy our "weekend" Pass for both of us. This will lock us in for attending, and have a nice 5 day 4 night stay out for once. Still undecided if I will play yet or not as no matter what army I play will require a ton of attention before then. My flesh tearer list I have (almost all WYSIWYG) for what I play excluding the vehicles. my Daemons are about 400.00 off from just not proxy models. As I play them more I am finding the synergy that I like. so I have time to decide, to play or just walk and photo shoot for the site and our community. depends on who else wishes to play in this event if I will or not. Tonight's Battles

Not a normal League night, but a few of us will be gathering over at Jacky's house to play on his new Cityscape terrain. I will be bringing to the 4x6' table my 1750 AIR cav Flesh Tearer army. (this is built as a "Yes I am THAT guy" at tournements. List is A librarian in Termie Armour taking shield of sangunius and Sword as well as storm shield and Force Axe. 2 5 man sniper squads. A 10 man Assault squad with no packs as they take a Land Raider Crusader as a dedicated transport. Raider upgrades: Storm bolter, and Multi-Melta. Sergeant is armed with a storm shield and Lightning claw (to accept any challenges with some survivability). with melta-bombs. 2 furioso's with frag cannons replaceing the meltagun arms, and a heavy flamer upgrade (yes both out fitted this way). and to round it out I took 3 stormravens (landraider is not a heavy choice as it is a dedicated transport) so still single FOC list. 2 ravens are full gun ships with assault cannons, multi-melta, and hurricane bolters, 1 raven same just without hurrine bolters.

This is my shananigens list. Want to see how this plays and the symatry of this type of list.

Be nice to see what happens to night as they face 1750 pts. of the best from the WARP!!!!


Update:
We decided to play 1850 for more tourny pratice size game. we stopped after 4 turns, I had one raven left untouched, both furioso's untouched, and the raider and assault unit perfect condition. Lost 2 ravens both units of scouts.

Daemons took 2 wounds to thirster and Fateweaver, lost 2 full units of daemonettes, and only whittled down the flesh hounds. the Spider-Filer that Jacky posted the pic up for me as my computer is being stupid for the past two days just giggled at all the multi-melta shot that hit him. Stupid 2+ cover. LOL i had to give it to him as his model could actually climb the wall, it had to get the "I am still in cover with a cool pose" benefit. LOL

he won when we ended as he killed my libby  for slay the warlord. oh well better luck next time!.

Zombie Land Raider Request

Lets see, so i had my birthday yesterday, my 16th wedding anniversry is coming Friday. My daughters birthday is Next Saturday followed by memorial day. How do i spend the in between time?

Well busting out painting work, greenstuffing and playing 40k, of course....

Ask yourself, why havent i started really following this blog yet. With over 2,000 views in less than 60 days, it doesnt seem to equal out. So we have a lot of transient visitors and thats great, but we want more actual followers. Want some commission work done, and want a discount. Follow the blog, we can make that happen. Birthday Wishes!!!

Today is Jacky's Birthday let's wish him the best today!!! Happy birthday man! You have been a great and wonderful friend through the years, and even more so this past year alone. Thank you and enjoy your birthday!

Game 3 Daemons vs. Space Wolves

Game 3 Mission: The Scouring. This mission was a very great battle. John D. was a fantastic player to play this against. John brought a land raider, urik the slayer, arjac and wolf guard, drop pod, 2 grey hunters with rune priests, and Logan (i think was the special character with 2 fen wolves). Long Fangs with defence line and quad gun. The DLT deployment only allowed 3 units per side to be deployed and forced the rest of the armies into reserves.
My Force was the Great Unclean One, 2 heralds of slaanesh, 1 herald of Nurgle, 1 Herald of Tzeentch. 2x9 daemonettes with alluress, 1x9 screamer unit, 1x9 plaguebearers w/ plagueridden, soul grinder, CSM Sorcerer of tzeentch, cultists, and helldrake. With Aegis line and comm station, and bastion with lascannon. (love cheap units)

The Kustom House of Kolor Baron (Comission 1 of 2))

This is a video of a chamelon paintjob offered by WDC, The paint changes 3 different colors in different lighting and angles. Unfortunately until it was painted i did not realize the model was scratch, but it still looks phenominal. -Daehan

Hmmm funny how things go

Ok so last night and this morning (couldn't sleep due to base coat fumes in the house) i was reading forums on tactica (something I don't do really as I enjoy MY ideas), and I notice alot of forums out there are on the 3++ kick! and if I won't be damned that is something I have been running and talking to our league since 6th hit the floor running. Just kinda of amazes me how it always seems what we begin to discuss localy hits the global scale within a month or two. I know I am not the only gamer who has this "issue" but at times it just seems like hey this will work, then everyone is like band wagon still has room! Which made me redo several of my lists (one being a new tournament army) for the upcoming local tournaments. JAC games may 25th, Recess on June 1st, and Steel city showdown later in fall. We will be play testing my list this friday up at C.A.E. in sheffield. I will post how both my league game, and my play testing goes.  To everyone out there, Happy Gaming!!!!!

Shadowseer comission complete -

Painted the shadow seer with checks and a very subdued color scheme in browns and pale yellows. Th picture doesnt reflect the gem work and hillighting as much as id like, but here it is, damn iphone camera and no light box really hurts as these models looks so much better in person. should ship out next week, as i will probably touch it a few more times.

Mid Week Update - 3 Commisions and 2 personal projects

Its only been a few days since my last update but i wanted to provide a little more this week.

First league game was a sweet of CSM, i took primary, secondary and tertiary. The guy i played was a great guy ad had the tools to make it a tough game, but due to some deployment mistakes and underestimating Damonettes in HTH combat, it gave him a loss by turn 4.

In order to get ready for our semi annual Ja'Took game i have been feverishly working ona script that will surpass the last one, with some nice unusual twists for the big good vs evil game. Warp Dust Creations and Get in the Game Painting will be providing prizes for Best and Worst General. A T-shirt commenrating the freindly game will also be availible.

Finally on a hobbying side, I picked up three small comissions - which i will hopefully crank out by the end of the weekend pending on weather and list of outside chores i pick of from the wife.

Here are a few pictures of what has occurred since monday. Keep checking as i plan to review Miniatire Airbrush paint line, the Badger Renegade airbrush and a table top board i picked up for the Ja'Took game coming in this week.
